2013,\u00a0Vabaduse Gallery, Tallinn, Estonia<\/p>\n

Exhibition\u00a0was \u201ca double exposure\u201d or projection of several past layers \u2013 paintings were based on my early childhood memories, combined with ambivalent experiences as a teenager toward selected Beatles soundtracks (sweetened with nostalgia and sounds similar to those one can \u00a0hear at funerals)<\/p>\n

Those memories, or\u00a0more correctly even\u00a0memories of the memories, were supported by\u00a0a set of enlarged family\u00a0photos\u00a0displayed at\u00a0the exhibition, depicting landscapes where the best years of the lives\u00a0of\u00a0my parents went by\u00a0\u00a0–\u00a0namely the\u00a0deportation years in Siberia 1949\u20131957.<\/p>\n

If you wish, those\u00a0fields\u00a0from the past can be called\u00a0my\u00a0Strawberry Fields.<\/p>\n
